If the stand alone Ace Payroll installation program stops half way through
installing an upgrade there are a number of possible causes, the most likely being that Ace Payroll is still running and the installation program is denied access rights to delete and replace the files currently in use.
The solution is to terminate the installation program, then shut down Ace Payroll and run the installation program again.
There is a utility in Ace Payroll itself to install the upgrade. Using this utility, Ace Payroll automatically terminates once the installation program is successfully launched, then starts again once installation is completed.
