Direct Credits Using ASB Gateway or Fastnet

On 25th September 1999 we originally published this FAQ indicating that the file formats for ASB Gateway and ASB Fastnet were the same.

Since then, there has been some confusion regarding the ASB desktop banking software. We won't go into details, but affected clients will know what we are talking about.

In fact, the file formats are very slightly different, and to ensure that Ace Payroll is not included in the confusion, we now have two ASB formats.

ASB Gateway
This format remains untouched, and has worked perfectly for over a decade. If using the ASB Gateway product, this is your choice.

ASB Fastnet MT9
This format is for the new ASB Fastnet system. A test file produced using this option has been tested and confirmed to be correct by the ASB, and is included in our version 3.06A released 2nd January 2000.
